Subclass 190 - Skilled Nominated Visa

The Subclass 190 Visa is a permanent visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory. Subclass 491 - Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa

The Subclass 491 Visa is a provisional visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory or sponsored by an eligible family member to live and work in designated regional areas. This visa allows individuals to stay in Australia for up to 5 years and provides a pathway to permanent residency after meeting specific requirements. It aims to address regional labor shortages by encouraging skilled migrants to settle in less populated areas of Australia. Holders of this visa can later apply for the Subclass 191 Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa if they fulfill the residency and employment conditions.

Subclass 191 - Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa

The Subclass 191 Visa is a permanent residence visa for individuals who have previously held a Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa or a Subclass 494 Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa. This visa allows holders to live, work, and study permanently in Australia, specifically designed for those who have lived and worked in regional Australia. Applicants must meet the residency and employment conditions stipulated under their provisional visa before applying for this permanent visa.

Check Eligibility

Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria, including being under 45 years of age, meeting the required English language proficiency, and possessing skills in an occupation listed on Australia’s Skilled Occupation List (SOL).

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)

Create an EOI through the SkillSelect system, detailing your skills, qualifications, and experience. Your EOI will be assessed, and you will receive an invitation to apply for a visa if selected.

Receive an Invitation to Apply

If you meet the criteria and are ranked high enough, you will receive an invitation to apply for your selected skilled visa.

Lodge Your Visa Application

Once invited, you must lodge your visa application within the specified timeframe. Be sure to include all required documentation to support your application.
